Templeborough Biomass Power Plant Construction Progress

Sky Filming visits power plant construction sites every month to collect photographic, video and point cloud data.

Templeborough in an area in Rotherham, near Sheffield, where various companies are involved in constructing a biomass power plant that will supply green energy to tens of thousands of homes in the local area.

Our involvement with the project includes regular visits each month to gather video clips and aerial photographs with our drones, as well as reccy the site on the ground with 4k video cameras and high resolution DLSR cameras.

After each visit we send the site owner aerial video clips, aerial photographs and a montage video of progress so far.

Additional Services

As well as our monthly visits, we capture special events such as turbine installations, new bridges being erected and boiler lifts with large cranes. These events are filmed with our drones and special time lapse cameras that we place around the site and leave running for days or weeks at a time.

Our monthly data collections and special event captures are used by the owners of the site to liaise with various contractors on the progress and future planning of the project. The videos are watched by executives in various countries at the same time via live video meetings.

We have also filmed interviews with the owners to use for local promotion and awareness of build progress.

We have occasionally created a 3D computer model, point cloud model and orthomosaic projection for use by the main contractors to plan future work at the site.
